We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our Mechanical Engineering Team. Candidates possessing any combination of the requirements listed below are encouraged to apply.

  • A minimum of 2 to 5 years substantial experience using AutoCAD and Microsoft Word & Excel required.
  • Solid Works (or other 3D CAD program) is a plus.
  • Experience in sheet metal design of control panels, cabinets or other large structures.
  • Basic knowledge of paint and powder coating processes.
  • Basic understanding of sheet metal equipment and processes including welding.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and highly detail oriented. 
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • A positive can-do attitude and a team player. 
  • A plus if worked in Utility or Power Industry (i.e. Medium Voltage Switchgear, Control Panels, and Control Buildings).
  • Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering and/or structural engineering is a plus.
  • Must be hands on with good analytical capability.
  • Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • Designing of sheet metal structures (i.e. cabinets, panels, and steel containers).
  • Creating mechanical 2-D fabrication and assembly drawings.
  • Design and layout of steel control buildings.
  • Work with Electrical Engineers and Customers.
  • Oversee assembly processes.
  • Complete other tasks given by the Mechanical Engineer Manager or other members of Management.
